MSV Focus Hex 1.23mm (blue)

German engineered. A very lively string. The hexagonal 6-sided profile bites the ball like crazy. If you want a spin string with power, this is the string to go for.

During my test, I found it to be an explosive power string but still gives good control. It is easy to spin, but not as spin oriented as some strings out there that were designed for spin. It has a comfortable firm feel though, with reduced string movement and has lasting tension.

Recommended for intermediate to advanced players.  Simply because a full bed of Focus Hex will take a bit of getting used to in order to harness the power and control. My suggestion is to lower 2 lbs from your usual preferred poundage. Retention is pretty good on this string.

Subsequently I set up a hybrid with Focus Hex as the Mains and MSV Hepta Twist in the Crosses. The result was intoxicating! The Hepta Twist gave it a bit of pocketing and trampoline effect. Playability increased tremendously while taking the stress off the joints. I now have this hybrid as a reliable setup which I recommend to customers. This combo makes a powerful sick spin monster!
